I use it to teach an intimate knowledge of the instruments of the orchestra and the orchestra families. Once children have heard the instrument (on a recording) while coloring these pictures they have a realistic an accurate knowledge of the instrument. Granted, these are only drawings, but my students really know their instruments after they spend some time coloring them. It's really nice that they are being played in the illustrations....and the players depict a diverse group of musicians. I have two copies in case one is misplaced.
