The bass is a very nice instrument with a great feel. Its quite a bit lighter than my bass (was purchased for my son) but that is not an issue.

The reason for my review, is that the active pickup is faulty. I have replaced the 9v battery and have tested all patches, amps, etc with my passive bass. I can actually hear during insertion of the battery a certain point where contact is made. I am hesitant to open the battery and socket and lose my warranty. I am a bit unhappy at the lack of information on troubleshooting available online, and of course, being the first review, there isn't any information here on Amazon.

I am attempting to contact the manufacturer (though their site says contact the reseller first) to see if this can be remedied. I will repost with the details of my findings.
