Ordered these for my 7 yr.old's birthday. Delivery was quick...even sooner than estimated. Because we wanted the drums to be a surprise, we had a drummer friend assemble them at his home, so I can't attest to how difficult or easy the assembly was. However, he stated that he had no problems at all. The color is vibrant and our son LOVES them! We are most pleased with the sound quality...incredible! They really are simply a smaller version of the real thing. We would highly recommend this drum set to others looking for a set which is better quality than toy sets, but not extremely high-end like those purchased at music stores. Great buy for us!

Bought this to give for a Christmas gift. Real wood too. This looks very durable, as my kid will not tear it up in 5 min of use. Like the other review, the drum heads are "wrinkled" but just tighten them up (per instructions) and PERFECT! Note that I am not a drummer, nor do I know anything about drums in general, but took about 30 to get everything set up and ready to play. Drums sound really good. Cymbals, not so good. More or less pie pans, but hey, can't have everything. Kids will think they are great.
I also like this set because you can purchase replacement heads should you every need them. I am very happy with this purchase.
