I had this product for about 25? years until it finally wore out. I was pleased to find it is still manufactured and just ordered one. I found it to be effective, gentle on the vinyl and virually bulletproof. It also has a handy self-cleaning device built in and the fluid is injected from the rear, eliminating the problem of spotty wetting. Most of my records were extremly dirty and needed to be cleaned ASAP! So I went to look for the DISCwasher because I heard it was the best, but when I researched I found it not to be as great as the one back in day. So I kept browsing and found this gem. I had so many records that popped and even skipped and now they play like brand new!! Sooo worth the money!!!! Good (Seattle) - See all my reviews    I got this to replace a Discwasher D4 that I lost; when I went to look at new Discwashers they simply aren't as well-made as they used to be... So, I got this instead. It's a very nice high-quality Japanese unit; materials and workmanship are really surprising for the price and there's absolutely nothing cheap or chintzy about it. It has a nice, clean look and a pleasant feel. There's a tray with a built-in scraper brush to clean the unit, a very nice touch. As far as I'm concerned, this is the record cleaner to get.
