The Squier Bronco Bass is great for guitarists who occasionally need a bass, younger beginners, smaller players, or for anyone who likes the feel of a short-scale (30") bass. I have had this bass for about 3 years now, and I must say, it's a very sturdy, and easy to use bass. you have beginners who have tempers?? well get this for sure!! It's a short-necked bass, so it makes it easier to play for smaller people. I got mine used and the only problems with it were loose connections in the inside, and a stripped screw on the pickup. I fixed both of those, and it sounds great!!
It's definately not for pros though, if you have a lot of experience in bass playing, then this probably isn't for you. Distortion isn't great either; it has one coil, and it doesn't handle distortion very well...
All in all, this is an excellent bass, and it is a great starter bass too...
